A Zero sq. ft. Addition
Efficient use of space + timeless materials = great value.
These empty-nester homeowners came to us, wanting an addition for a new master bath. We took a look at the space they already had—but weren’t really using—and found space for their new master bathroom and closet. We opened the room up to a small adjacent bedroom and put the new bath and closet there. Eliminating the need to build extra square footage helped us come up with the budget to splurge on tile and add some custom details.
On the inside of the shower, we created a little shelf that hides the shampoo, but is highlighted by a beautiful sandblasted glass tile.
This is the view from the bedroom. Closet on the left, bathroom on the right. Note the space where the shelves are: We allocated the shelf depth for each room according to the things to be stored.
